Vineyard-Driven · Sustainably Farmed
Wines that honor the typicity of the vineyards where our grapes are grown—distinctive expressions of site, season, and thoughtful winemaking.
Carter Family Wines sources its grapes from specific vineyard lots, in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Oregon. We then truck our grapes, cross-country, to our production facility in Greenville, South Carolina, to make our wines.

01 / Philosophy
“Some of life's greatest moments unfold around a bottle of wine. Wine has a quiet magic—it anchors a memory and turns time together into something lasting.”
Jon-Michial and Catherine began with a simple conviction: wine should bring people closer. Every bottle is an invitation—to linger, to listen, and to make the evening matter.
The Current Collection
We source grapes from five world-class West Coast vineyards across Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Oregon's Rogue Valley. Driving our harvested grapes in refrigerated trucks to Greenville, South Carolina for processing requires logistics mastery. Each wine carries the typicity of its vineyard. We are immensely proud to make wine in South Carolina.

03 / Farming
Our wines begin in the vineyard. We work closely with growers who farm thoughtfully, respond to the needs of each site, and cultivate grapes that express where they are grown.
Practices chosen to support healthy vines and the long-term vitality of each vineyard.
Active relationships keep us connected to the decisions that shape every vintage.
Farming responds to each vineyard's climate, soils, elevation, and natural rhythm.
Small-lot production lets us remain focused on grape quality, balance, and character.
